RIP Whitney Houston


On the 11th February 2012 it was announced that Whitney Elizabeth Houston who had huge hits with I Will Always Love You which was the biggest selling US single of all time had died at aged 48. Her first acting was role was in the Bodyguard in 1992 where she I will always love you and she contributed to wide variety of soundtracks and movies. The Preachers Wife Soundtrack became the biggest selling gospel music album in history. She also stared in The Princess Diaries was nominated for three awards and won The Young Artist of The Year Award. She also won 1997NAACP Image Award for outstanding actress in a motion picture for The Preachers Wife. To date she had out six albums.

She is also a clever academic as she held a Doctorate in Humanities by Grambling State University in Louisiana.

Then on the 11th February she was found dead in bathroom of the hotel in suite 434 of the Beverly Hilton Hotel and she was submerged in the bathtub. Paramedics arrrived at 3:30pm and they found the singer unresponsive and performed CPR, however despite their best efforts Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at 3.55pm.

Tony Bennett the legendary artist spoke at Clive Davis’ Pre Grammy Awards Party “First, it was Michael Jackson, then Amy Winehouse and now, the magnificent Whitney Houston.” Then he sang How Do You Keep the Music Playing
