Today has been a rather quiet day today which has been good. I have had a lot on my mind recently and just needed some chill time away from life for a a bit. So today I looked for jobs, sent some emails, checked my Facebook and basically learned to relax more. I also started reading Dear John book and it’s coming on great.
Then at 8pm I watched Holby City and watched whatever is on the box
Today wasn’t the best of the days for me as I haven’t feeling my usual self recently so I didn’t really have my willpower, I did go to university just I wasn’t my usual happy self. My first seminar of the day went really well though and I am really getting into the essays for university and then I did some of my ucas form. I am reapplying to Social Work Degree this year even though I am already at university and made me fee better. Then came my second seminar and because my Iworks haven’t been working very well recently I wasn’t able to send my friends the documents they requested over the easter holidays so it put my project back and again I felt really guilty. Then I did some shopping and went home and for the rest of the day I chilled with my computer and some TV.
The 4,000 plus health staff are set to walk out next month due to pay and conditions, this would mean widespread disruption to GP surgeries, hospitals and health care in the community if it goes at ahead on the 10th May 2012. This will include, ambulance staff, district nurses, health visitors and lab technicians. If the plans go ahead it would mean all day surgeries will be postponed, although emergency care will continue
Unite’s regional officer for health, Kevin McAdam, said: “The Government is picking the pockets of health workers by an average of £30-a-month in order to pay for pension changes which will see people having to work longer to get less.
“This disgraceful attack comes against a backdrop of pay freezes and the threat of regional pay in the public sector. In the face of continued attacks, health workers will be stepping up their campaign and looking to join other public sector workers in taking action on May 10.”
today has been quite stressing for as I have had a lot of things going which i can’t mention online. So please bare with me if I don’t post too much today.
One good thing about today though as I got a lovely letter from a penfriend today which was great and I can’t wait to reply.
Everyone loves their chocolate chips right and you might have an entire bag going spare after decorating cakes for easter celebrations. Don’t let them go to waste. Here is a short and simple recipe you can try with some with chocolate chips and ingredients left over in the cupboard. I have added photos which I have used from google but these are not what everything will look like, just a general photo to what it might look like.
Cooking time 10-30 minutes
- 350g/12¼oz unsifted flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of sods
- 1 tsp salt
- 225g/8oz butter
- 175g/6¼oz caster sugar
- 175g/6¼oz soft brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 350g/12¼oz dark chocolate melted.
1. Preheat your over to 190c (Gas Mark 5)
2. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
3. In another bowl, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Beat in the eggs. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Don’t forget your chocolate chips right?
4. Melt your dark chocolate and stir in
5. Split the pliable dough into two halves, rolling each out into sausage shapes, approximately 5cm/2in in diameter.
6. Wrap them in cling film and transfer to the refrigerator until ready to use
7. When you are ready to bake the cookies, simply cut the log into slices 2cm/¾in thick and lay on a baking tray, widely spaced apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
8. Put on rack, wait till cool and serve
9. Eat cookies

Today I have been working on puzzle I purchased yesterday whilst shopping in town, the puzzle is the 50th Anniversary of Coronation Street.
Anyway for the rest of the evening, I am working on my blog and doing my puzzle and do whatever on my computer
lots of hugs
For a few personal reasons I am not really my usual self, I have had a lot of bugs recently which I seem to be catching more frequently and plus I am feeling rather lonely so I am not a happy bunny. But I am hoping next week, I am gonna have thing to focus on and learn to de-stress.
I am also gonna set myself a target each day of small chunks to get done. For example, I am gonna write one letter a day, make a new friend online etc and then I am gonna treat myself a small pressie every week. Then hopefully the second week to increase my letters two a day. I might also apply the same theory to writing assignments, instead of going through an entire assignment in one hit and I am gonna manage it in small manageable chunks.
I will keep you posted on how things are going.
