Today has been a quite resting day, I had to go to the job centre in the morning to see my disability employment advisor Caroline and already she’s driving me insane, she seems to assume that I never worked or that I have limited skills. I also had to explain a few things of what recently happened to me. Something I do not want to discuss or post about on here. Then I went home and spent the rest of the day doing my blog, studying and some reading.
Then at 8pm I watched Holby City and then chilled out watched whatever was on the tv.

Today has been great but quite a normal standard day at uni, I had my main lecture in the morning which went very well and then I had a four hours of waiting till my next seminar, I hate the long breaks I get at uni so did some studying in the library i had to clarify a few things in my notes and I headed off to the local town centre a few blocks from the university to get a few things, I realised I needed to get some make up so i bought Beauty uk make up from superdrug and an cadburys cream egg. I am always loosing make up at uni. I also had to chase up my mobile phone’s insurance as I am cancelling that too. Then I headed back to the uni to sort out a few bits and then went back to library to do some studying, sort out my diary and some research for the research one project.
Well recommended if you want to create that day to night earth look which is very fashionable and recently was seen in Vogue and Glamour magazine. Earthy smokey eye effect is very fashionable at the moment and is seen on the catwalk.
Then I had some lunch and then did more studying and few blog posts as well. Then at 4pm I headed off to Marconi building for my equality and identity workshop/seminar with the group. The workshop went well, just wished my lecturer understood what I meant about the five giants.
Then after my two hour workshop/seminar I headed off home and just got home in time tea and the one show, then spent the rest of the evening watching tv and I did a few blog posts as well.
Today has been quite a slow and chilled out day for me I had a cup of tea with my mum in town okay the parking was a bit of a nightmare as its always busy in the early afternoon and then and I got home and chilled out or the rest of the day, I had a few blog posts and admin stuff I needed to get on with and plus I have been having some technical problems with the HTML code and was having trouble putting ning social network on my blog. But hopefully it will be up soon 🙂
Todays been a lovely happy day 🙂 I watched Its all about Amy, Amy Child’s reality show about the ups and downs of running her own her salon in Brentwood. The documentary follows Amy Childs, the former TOWIE star ( The Only Way is Essex) with the ups of downs of press, fans, and television appearances whilst trying to juggle the responsibilities of running her own salon. In this episode, the fans are causing havoc in the salon, her beloved pug Prince Charles had to go to the vet for treatment and she had an interview with ITV.
Then as I was feeling in a girlie mood, I decided to go into town and get my hair and nails done, at first I wanted to to go Amy Child’s Salon and have it all done there but then I realised they didn’t do hair and I had to make an appointment as they were fully booked for the day. So I went to Gemini and decide I would like some highlights in my hair, so I opted for a bright red colour and then I decided to also have my those accrylic nails put in. It took about three to four hours in all getting it all done and for once I felt like a proper female rather than a laddish girl.

Then after my hair and nails, I made my way to my mum’s work place over the road and got the lift home from my brother. Then spent the rest of the day chilling with my laptop and watched casualty and then headed off to bed.
Highlight of the day
Meeting Harry Derbidge at Amy Childs Salon in the early afternoon. Lucky me 🙂

On the 26th January you probably heard that Rod Liddle, a journalist from The Sun Newspaper wrote this article about the disabled as “pretend” and he quoted the following
“My New Year’s resolution for 2012 was to become disabled. Nothing too serious, maybe just a bit of a bad back or one of those newly invented illnesses which make you a bit peaky for decades – fibromyalgia, or M.E.”
“And being disabled is incredibly fashionable. The number of people who claim to be disabled has doubled in the past ten years.”
“I think we should all pretend to be disabled for a month or so, claim benefits and hope this persuades the authorities to sort out the mess.”
“It has become easier to claim those benefits, partly as a consequence of the disablement charities who, out of their own self-interest, insist that an ever-greater proportion of the population is disabled.”
This case also reminds me of Ricky Gervais attack on M.E in which during one of comedy shows he attacks people with this debilitating condition saying it’s the “I don’t want to go work today, I’ll phone in and say I have M.E. He gives the illusion that people with M.E don’t want to go work, they want to sit at home watching day time tv. But this certainly not the case, people with M.E want to work, go to school/college/uni etc and are driven and motivated. But in some cases are often to exhausted and ill to get out of bed.
Here is the youtube clip and someone with M.E explaining what it really is.
